Outer Harbour Dragon Boat Club 3000m Challenge *** NOW A CCWC QUALIFIER ***
When: Saturday, May 28th, 2011. The regatta starts at 8:30am.
Where: Outer Harbour Dragon Boat Club 480 Unwin Avenue, Leslie Street and Lakeshore Ave.
Format: Each crew will race a 400m course twice head-to-head against a crew of similar ability for time. The total time from the two heats will seed all crews for a final 2000m lap race for time. Total time from all three races determines the final finishing order.
Prizes: 1st prize is $500, 2nd prize is $300, 3rd prize is $200. Prize money may be dependent on the number of entries (if fewer than 8 crews). There may be other prizes (results and draw), subject to sponsorship.
Equipment: BUK boats and steering oars. Crews must provide their own paddles and PFD’s.
Cost: $300.00 plus HST. (total is $339.00)
Other Information: · The race field will be limited to 12 crews, first-come, first-served. · There may be refreshments for sale at the site. · Parking is limited, please car pool as much as possible. · There will be an email to all teams closer to the event date with more information and the first round draw. · Registration sent to Chris Goeldner at chris@ohdbc.ca. ults

Where: Outer Harbour Dragon Boat Club 480 Unwin Avenue, Leslie Street and Lakeshore Ave.
Format: Each crew will race a 200m course twice head-to-head against a crew of similar ability for time. The total time from the two heats will determine the overall winner
Equipment: BUK boats and steering oars. Crews must provide their own paddles and PFD’s.
